How can I discover what I want my major to be in College?
Cali SD asked:
Ive been in college for a year now and still havent decided my Major. I like doing lots of things but nothing that makes good money sounds interesting. Maybe thats why they make lots of money. Are there like some websites or something that can help me decide? I like Sports, Religion, and Outdoor Activities, and also Movies.

Honestly, most people don’t even end up working in the field that they got their degree in anyway. Like me. i have a BS in MKT and a MBA but I realized now that I really enjoy Social work and not working in Corporate America. Just choose something and stick with it. I have so many friends that have changed their majors just because they decided they liked something else and now they have taken the same amount of time to get one degree that it has taken me to get two (heck some of them are still working on their first one). Whatever you do, don’t chose something just because it may sound like it can make a lot of money because who knows what you may end up doing in the long run. Choose something that truly interest you and you’ll be willing to put in the extra effort to get a degree in. Worry about becoming rich later. Heck most of the successful people out their nowadays own their own businesses anyway and trust me you don’t need a degree for that. So just choose what you like the most and everything else will fall into place in time.
