We like outdoor sports like mountain biking and hiking and want somewhere with great restaurants and fun things for the kids to do. Also, there has to be places to ride horses.

    Anywhere in North Carolina, but stay near the cities or you’ll go nuts lol. I’m from NY and Raleigh NC is the most south I ever plan to live - its similar enough to the northeast, but much more open with more outdoor activities to do.

    I’m a northeastern gal (Newburyport, Mass.) who moved to Glen Allen, Va. 6 years ago (nice suburb NW of Richmond) and while I miss New England so much this is a less expensive place to live and very nice, as well.
