I like photography, playing guitar, writing song, filming, editing (film and still photos). traveling, outdoor sports etc.. Is college really that important?? What if I want to be a musician? Will it just be a waste of time?

First, college is very important for you. How else are you going to be successful in life? I mean, you can play music, and you want to be an “artist”, but the reality is not everyone makes it, and sometimes those very same people end up working at a fastfood restaurant or at some retail store at minimum wage. If you love photograhy and music, then you can major in it. Whatever it is you want t do in life, getting a college degree will bring you a step closer. I mean, try college, and if somewhere along the line, you have a big hit and suddenly makes tons of money overnight, then you can quit college and pursue your life long dream, but you probably won’t have that, so go to college. You’ll be helping yourself as well as the people around you who wants you to succeed. You can get a degree in music and makes musical jingles for commercials orwork in the entertainment industries making background music, so its better than nothing. Please go to college, a community college even. it is not a waste of time, those who says it is are dropouts.
look! college are for those who want to prove themselves they are capable of understanding and making difficult choice… mostlikely a college degree will jump u in the other side from the ignorants redneck trailer trash… so yes its very important… you can become wutever u want… u just need that little paper saying u took time and effort to finish college!
College is one of the most important life events in your life, first being born into the world. If your having difficulty on deciding to go to college or not, I’d talk with your guidance counselor. Not everybody back then didn’t go to college, so it was easier to get in. Today, everybody basically goes to college to “fit-in” to the our society, but you shouldn’t stop there. Excel yourself to get a bachelors or masters.
